Uberrimae fidei

Utmost good faith

‘utmost good faith’ is a term used to
describe the duties owed by one person to
another when a contract brings them
particularly close. The two areas in which
it principally appears are insurance law and
partnership law. In each case, one part is
said to owe the other a duty of the utmost
good faith.
