The Department of Consumer Affairs, under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public
Distribution is responsible to ensure safeguarding of consumers’ interests, effective administration and

Entity, Platform, Ranking, Marketplace E-Commerce Entity and Inventory E-Commerce Entity. We also discussed Rule 4 i.e. the duties of e-commerce entities.
